Now Then

A poem what I wrat:

“Now Then”, by ᴉʞᴐᴉʌǝɿ ʍǝɹpuɐ

There was a time called now,
But that was in the past.
There is a newer now,
But that won’t surely last.
Can someone tell me how,
These moments have all passed,
And also tell me when,
My now became a then.

I wroten this poem when I was 14. My teacher remarked that it was “about time”, which made me think I had arrived as a poet, and that a golden and joyous career beckon’d. On reflection, she was just remarking on the subject matter, wasn’t she?
